After days of thunder storms, the skies cleared as the highlight of our visit to Indianapolis neared; The Moody Blues concert at The Lawn in White River State Park. The previous year we enjoyed the sensational musical talents of O.A.R. and Ziggy Marley, and now we couldn't wait to catch the legendary Moody Blues.
A Instrumental and Soulful Symphony

My husband had seen the Moody Blues a long time ago, and loved it. Now I know why, the Moody Blues truly captures your imagination with their instrumental and soulful symphony as they did for this gentleman who was immersed in the moment, and appeared to be conducting his own orchestra throughout the concert.
And, the band was just as excited watching us all singing along to our favorite songs. This really made the concert an engaging and memorable one; for a few hours we were united by the music we all loved.

The Moody Blues have shared their songs of love, passion, and peace for over four decades now. With classics like I'm Just A Singer - In A Rock n Roll Band and Tuesday Afternoon, they kept us on our feet, and cheering for more. I was a toddler when Justin Haywood, John Lodge, and Graeme Edge came out with
their first album, Days Of Future Past in 1967. Years later when I came of age it was not long before I was enchanted by their inspiring collection of then classic hits, which we enjoyed during their concert at White River State Park.

When the moody Blues played Night In White Satin everyone cheered. From the moment they took the stage we knew it was going to be a great concert; and it was along the way through! You can read a thousand reviews for the Moody Blues, but it is not until you experience their soulful tunes that you understand how
they've become one of the legends of music.
Along with the Moody Blues, there are several more acts performing in this year's Concert Series at The Lawn. Grab your family and friends and be prepared for a great season of music!
