The Coca Cola Circle City Classic’s College Football Game, By Judy Worley

This year’s 27th annual Coca Cola Circle City Classic’s college football game at Indianapolis’s Lucas Oil Stadium was full of excitement, a lot of fun and was packed with some really great football action. The half time show was absolutely fantastic to watch as well.

The Stadium was full of excited fans of all ages that were very loud and very proud of their favorite teams and were ready for some exciting football.

The Tennessee State Tigers and the North Carolina A & T Aggies did just that, they gave their fans some awesome football action as the two teams played an outstanding game with the Tigers defense bringing on the heat keeping the Aggies at bay throughout the game. The Aggies played tough and played hard, but was unable to stop the Tigers offense.
It has been five years since these two teams matched up in the Circle City Classic’s with the North Carolina A & T defeating the Tennessee Tigers back in 2005 with a 16 to 3 win.

But this year’s match up, Tennessee took the football and made some great plays defeating the Aggies with a 37 to 7 win. Tennessee let the Aggies know they can play ball.
With all the great football being played at Lucas Oil Stadium, there were also some unbelievably great bands that played at halftime along with their elegant and robust majorettes and flag girls as well. These girls gave an awesome half time show for all the fans to see.

And it truly was spectacular to watch too. The Tennessee State Aristocrat’s and the North Carolina A&T State University Blue & Gold Marching band were so unbelievably good, both with a energetic yet smooth rhythm as they did not miss a beat dancing as they played. I was in awe that these individuals could dance while they played their instruments with such stride and perfection. And the majorettes and flag girls were just as exciting to watch as they danced with robust precision and an elegant grace, it was so fun to watch these lady’s with their classic style in dance. It made you want to get up and dance along with them. What a really fun and great half time show.

With all the great games, halftime shows and other fun filled and exciting activities this weekend, made this Classic weekend in Indy a blast, and I am sure next year will be just as great if not better.

Thanks to Indiana Black Expo, Inc., Indiana Sports Corporation and all the sponsors and affiliates for this fabulous weekend in sports with the 27th annual Circle City Classic.

Congratulations Tennessee State!
