The small community of Donnelly, Idaho known for
prime fishing and it adventurous snow-mobiling territory. The town grew into a thriving community shortly after the railroad was established in
1914. Named for Mr. Donnelly who was a prominent railroad man at the time,
Donnelly is a popular for its many outdoor activities which include fishing,
boating and water-sports on Lake Cascade and
nearby Payette Lake, and in the winter; challenging ski slopes at the
Tamarack.

Each year around
mid-August the community of Donnelly
gathers for the Huckleberry Festival.
For those who have never a huckleberry, this is your chance. Come
join the fun and festivities, and sample some of the finest homemade
huckleberry recipes. Participate in the Huckleberry pancake
breakfast; enjoy the Parade and Car Show & Shine, and music
throughout this exciting weekend.

The
Roseberry Valley County Museum is a highlight of the area that takes visitors
back in time to an old Ghost Town. Stroll among the streets of Roseberry and
imagine what it was like during its prime before the turn of the century when
the townsfolk moved onto Donnelly. The Roseberry/Valley County Museum features a
turn of the century church, an old school and city hall, store, residences, and
farm machinery. The museum includes logging, woodworking tools, and a spinning
wheel and loom used by local Finnish pioneers.
