Don't Miss The New Attractions and Classic Adventures At Florida Theme Parks, By James & AJ Grass

Located in the Heart of Florida, Kissimmee is fantastic summer destination for family and friend. With over 47,000 accommodations options available, countless dining options, along with festive events; there's more than imagined to enjoy in Kissimmee, Florida. A summer of thrills and adventure await in Central Florida as area theme parks roll out new and exciting rides; and among the top on list is the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal’s Islands of Adventure.

Fans from all over the world will enter the magical world of the boy wizard and visit Ollivanders wand store where you can choose, and be chosen by, a wand. Eateries and treats stores include Honeydukes, Three Broomsticks and Hog’s Head. Sample the fabled "butterbeer," a non-alcoholic concoction created just for sale within the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal’s Islands of Adventure. Join the Triwizard Tournament in the Dragon Challenge and visit Hogwarts castle.

Rock along the river at SeaWorld’s acclaimed waterpark, Aquatica on Omaka Rocka, which means "rocking river," which is a half-pipe that takes you through three funnels aboard the two-seater floats. Riders in the two-person rafts must be at least 48 inches tall. The park also has introduced the "After 2 p.m. Pass," which allows admission for the rest of 2010 in the afternoon for $49.99 (just $2 more than the regular cost for a one-day pass).

Elmo and his Sesame Street friends invite you to have fun in the "sunny, funny" playland: Sesame Street Safari of Fun at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. The area is filled with rides, shows and adventures featuring Elmo, Big Bird and all their friends that celebrate the spirit of Africa. Adventures include "Air Grover," a twisty junior roller coaster that takes families through the Sahara, "Oscar's Swamp Stomp," a water ride and "Bert & Ernie’s Water Hole," a water feature and "Elmo's Safari Go-Round," a tribal-inspired carousel.

Over at Walt Disney World the popular, illuminated Main Street Electrical Parade in the Magic Kingdom Park returns in June with new floats featuring Tinker Bell, Snow White and Pinocchio. The theme park’s Summer Nightastic celebration also features a special fireworks show at the Magic Kingdom, thrilling lighting effects in the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and extended hours a few nights a week at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

And, the Sounds Like Summer concert series kicks off at Epcot, where Captain EO returns to amaze fans as the late Michael Jackson and a band of misfits on a mission to bring love and beauty to an evil queen, played by Oscar winner Anjelica Huston. Guests at Walt  Disney World's Epcot theme park can also attend a rare "decommissioning party" in August when you can be among the last passengers on a "Flight to Endor" on Star Tours before the ride is re-imagined.

These are just a few of the exciting events coming up at Central Florida theme parks, and there's so much more to discover in Kissimmee!
