in Monterey, California.
Spark the heart, renew vows or lure a loved one to Monterey, California; a
enchanted paradise perfect for a proposal. From sunset kayak tours to Lover's
Point or a Big Sur marriage purification hike to a rose-strewn beachfront
bonfire delivered by a personal love valet, the options for fanning the flames
are endless in Monterey. Make like the whales or migrating Monarchs and indulge
in the area's pristine setting with nearly 20 attractions pert and ready to roll
this February. From movie tours with a romantic twist to sunset kayak tours and
stints on the sea, the options for couples chasing cupid are endless.

* On a Golf Course, Inn at Spanish Bay, Pebble Beach, Poppy Hills : If she
loves you for who you are, golf and all, then Monterey County may be the place
to propose for you. Perhaps most famous for our over 25 golf courses, offering
numerous holes by where you could propose-- that would be over 450, to choose
from. However, if golf is not in the lineup for marriage proposal day, then take
her to the fireplace at the Inn at Spanish Bay, and wait for the bagpiper to
begin his famous tune, order up a drink from Roy's and perhaps some oysters on
the half shell and prepare to pop the question.

* Proposals on a Beach, Carmel's White Sand Beach, Julia Pfeiffer State
Beach, Carmel Monastery Beach, SCUBA diving off of San Carlos Beach, Sunset Sail

Bay Aquarium : Monkeying around is redefined at Wild Things, an exotic
animal training facility housing 100+ animals on 50 acres of rugged outback. Set
in Steinbeck country just outside the city of Salinas, this working facility and
rescue camp offers a deluxe seven-hour Walk with the Animals program. Also
allowed: monkey play dates or quality time fluffing up the lions. Perhaps have

hotbed for wintering eagles.
Enter Lake San Antonio and its annual Eagle Watch Tours that kick off every
January. Known as one of the largest bald and golden eagle winter habitats in
Central California, this region's bonanza of fresh fish, mild climate and
limited human impact make the 17-mile long lake and environs a hot ticket from
November to April with birds migrating south from Alaska, British Columbia and
Oregon. The 2 ½ hour tours run January and February aboard a 56-foot boat that
enables visitors an insider's perch. Moss Landing is another hot spot for
birders; pack the binoculars and the ring for a fine feathered getaway.
